Wireless networking uses radio frequency (RF) technology,
minimizing or eliminating the need for wired connections. It offers users a
flexible networking data communication system to access corporate data and
internet from access points within a building, or from hot spots such as
airports and cafe.
A single access point will support a small group of
users wirelessly, by sending radio-frequency signals between computers or PDAs
to share information. It has a transfer speed of 11Mbps and can transmit and
receive data for up to 100 metres
